However, if your server is <strong>maxing out its available resources<\/strong> during the import\/export process, <strong>upgrading to a more powerful server<\/strong> can help speed things up. If your server\u2019s resources aren\u2019t fully utilized, upgrading may not significantly improve performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udca1 <strong>Tip:<\/strong> If your server can run WordPress, it can run the WordPress Import Export plugin. The following software packages must be installed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<code><ul class=\"hkb_margin_none\"><li>PHP 5.6 or greater<\/li><li>MySQL 5.5 or greater<\/li><li>WordPress 4.4 or  greater <\/li><li>cURL<\/li><li>libxml<\/li><li>SimpleXML<\/li><li>xmlreader<\/li><li>xmlwriter<\/li><li>ZipArchive<\/li><\/ul><\/code>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"%e2%9a%99%ef%b8%8f-recommended-server-settings\" >\u2699\ufe0f <strong>Recommended Server Settings<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>These settings are recommended to <strong>avoid server errors<\/strong>. If your import\/export process runs smoothly, you may not need to adjust anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\ud83d\udd22 Maximum Input Variables (PHP):<\/strong> Set in php.ini as max_input_vars. It determines the <strong>maximum number of input variables<\/strong> PHP will allow. Typically, 6000 is enough, but for larger imports, you may want to increase this value.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u2b06\ufe0f Maximum Upload File Size (PHP):<\/strong> Set in php.ini as upload_max_filesize. This defines the <strong>maximum file size<\/strong> that can be uploaded to the server. Ensure this value is <strong>larger<\/strong> than the file size you are uploading.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\ud83d\udce5 Maximum Post Size (PHP):<\/strong> Set in php.ini as post_max_size. It determines the maximum file size allowed in PHP processes. <strong>This should be set higher than<\/strong> upload_max_filesize.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\ud83e\udde0 Memory Limit (PHP):<\/strong> Set in php.ini as memory_limit. It controls how much <strong>memory a script can allocate<\/strong>. This value should be set higher than post_max_size.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u23f2\ufe0f Maximum Execution Time (PHP):<\/strong> Set in php.ini as max_execution_time. It determines how long a script can run before it <strong>times out<\/strong>. If needed, ask your hosting provider to increase this limit, or try reducing the \u2018Records per iteration\u2019 setting in the plugin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u23f3 FCGID Timeouts (Apache):<\/strong> Set in httpd.conf as FcgidIOTimeout.
